Blog Post #4: Copyright/Creative Commons

I have selected the CC By, as my copyright access license.

Ted-Ed and their creative commons license is CC BY — NC — ND 4.0 International: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6EhRwn4zkc

ProQuest is a copyrighted public domain I believe because I got it through the University Library and couldn’t find any Creative Commons license on their webpage: file:///Users/brennagrossen/Documents/Zotero%202/storage/SCPQVZNE/reader.html

TIME magazine is a copyrighted public domain: https://style.time.com/2013/06/12/50-years-later-how-cleopatra-continues-to-influence-fashion-today/

Rakutan kobo is also a copyrighted public domain: https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/cleopatra-190

Encyclopedia Britannica is a free use webpage: file:///Users/brennagrossen/Documents/Zotero%202/storage/FHNDZ24L/Cleopatras-Achievements.html

UCLA Newsroom is copyrighted and you must CC them: https://newsroom.ucla.edu/stories/the-parallels-of-female-power-in-the-ancient-world-and-modern-times

Netflix is a copyrighted Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License: file:///Users/brennagrossen/Documents/Zotero%202/storage/N2689YGU/81230204.html

For my final project I think I am going to go with a public domain, but I have been thinking about also going with a CC-BY. So I’m not 100 percent sure yet what I am going to choose. I’m wanting to go more of a public domain route because as a university student it gives me access to a little bit more content out there, but also if anyone wants to use my site for whatever reason, I won’t be any trouble with any companies if I use their content because I’m not trying and not making money off of anything I publish because it is mainly for school/university purposes only.

    Hi Brenna,

I think it’s really smart you are going with the public domain. I relate to not knowing what route to take in terms of CC. It would be great to have access to more content, especially as a college student.

    Great job!
