Blog Post #2 “The Lost Museum”

On the website “The Lost Museum: you can see that the creators put a lot of hard work into producing their video, but not so much their actual webpage. This will serve as an example for me because I want my page to fun, engaging, and interesting to look at. I will not however, persuade me to use certain colors together. For example, the site uses the colors of red, golden yellow, white, and black. The main color you see is black and the site feels very dark and uninviting. That is the complete opposite of what I want my site to be. The website would be considered a Podcast because of the image below. “The Lost Museum” is tells the story of P. T. Barnum, and while the story is interesting, there has been a movie made about his life since this website has been published so personally, think the website should be updated, otherwise I no longer really see use for it.

Hi Brenna, your comments on “The Lost Museum” were very informative, and I’m glad you got good notes from it. I agree with your observation of the video receiving more time or focus from the creators; I personally felt like the website had an appearance similar to pirate themes because of the fonts and dark coloring. I feel as if you are doing a great job with the goal of your site’s color themes, and I really like the dark blue over the light blue background! Are you interested in also creating a video for your project? I look forward to seeing your future work!

Hi Brenna, I agree with you on terms of the visualization aspect of “The Lost Museum”, it looks hard to look at and not inviting at at all. As well, since it has been a while since they have updated their menu, it was hard to navigate through. sometimes making it simpler is efficient.

    Hi Brenna,

I agree with you about the color scheme how if it is dark it seems uninviting. We both chose the same website, so we have good taste! Great insights on this website!
